Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on having a wedding at Three Chimneys Inn, in Durham NH?

We had our office christmas party there this year. It's a nice place. The rooms are good...basically your average reception hall....nothing great, nothing bad. The food was VERY good though. My only complaint was their beer selection ...they didn't even carry Sam. If nothing else you should always be able to get a Sam Adams at a restaurant in New England if they don't carry the other better local microbrews. That's not really a big deal though...most people are fine with the normal bud/miller stuff, I'm just a beer snob
There's a holiday inn Express very close by which would be convenient for guests too. It's small though so make sure to reserve a block of rooms.

I went to a late summer wedding there back in '07. It was nice. There is a green area/lawn thing where the ceremony was held. The reception was held out doors on their patio, and dinner was served in their formal dining area. I had an interesting cream sauce ravioli (no meat for me.) Not bad after all, and there was Sam Adams served. I used to live right down the street from the place. Very nice during the late summer/early fall.

I'm in there on and off - the Tavern bar has Sam Boston Lager - I'm pretty sure. And definitely has Shipyard, and local seasonal brews. No Smuttynose - which I think is the best NH brew (Portsmouth Lager and Old Brown Dog - yum!).

A very nice setting, bags of character and charm. The food is up there in quality and sophistication - but seems pricey to me (restaurant prices). $20-$30+ entrees are pricing them out of customers.

Actually, I've never had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant, so I'm hardly one to speak. However, I do hope your wedding is a wonderful and lovely one.
Best wishes to you....

I got married at the Three Chimneys Inn 08-08-08
......and it was GREAT! Very nice setting with great staff. And you can of course have the reception on site. Great food, nice rooms. Nice site for photos...reasonable prices for all the services. A great time had by all, lots of good comments from everyone who came. Rent white chairs , they look better, have your ceremony on the lawn, its very pretty.
Feel free to ask me anything else! Peace.
