Default Is this considerered advertising?

It been well over a year for me on this. I've sat and keep my mouth shut concerning this (only) infraction I've received but seeing I'm just slightly miffed, I thought it was time to open up this can of worms one more time.

After receiving my slap on the wrist, I contacted the Mod (not Suzet) who had issued it. I was strongly informed that this was considered advertising and I was not allowed to link this again. I mentioned that I had seen this site suggested here many times and, I personally did not feel this was considered advertising. I was informed that anyone who list this link would receive the same infration treetment. Yet, time and time again, it is still being used as one of the best sources for our real estate searches.

Anyone else ever receive an "infraction" for the use of this?

I think i mentioned it in one of my posts a week or so ago. Nothing was said to me. I dont see where it would be considered advertising unless you were making money off of it personally. Even people who do the right things will occasionally get their hand slapped by someone. If i beleive that what i'm doing is right and get my hand slapped thats ok. Your not gonna please all the people all the time. This forum is proof of that.

How bizarre! I've posted it many times, often in combination with the community page and other links for researching, never received a slap on it.

Only way I could see it as advertising, would be if one listed it pointing to a particular house or directing to a house one was involved with. otherwise, you're right it's our main resource for searching houses and general costs in various towns

As long as someone posts links to a general MLS site that doesn't have realtor ads on it, I generally think that it's ok. It's when someone posts links to individual realtors, or publications with realtor ads - then it gets deleted.
