Northern Lights?
Has anyone seen the northern lights in NH? A quick google search shows some amazing photos taken of them in NH. I actually saw them once in Ohio but they're weren't any colors, just a whitish light.
I'd take a drive up north in a heartbeat if there was a good chance to see them some night. Anyone know of a place/site that can predict them? Anyone have picture they've taken of them?

IIRC check a site called Space Weather or something similar.

The only time I saw good Northern Lights was a couple of years ago when as a civil war reenactor camping out in mid-Vermont. All of us there were amazed and all of us were from Mass, Vermont or N.H.
I have not seen Northern lights in N.H. in the 14 years I have been here.
I have seen some spectacular shooting stars though!

If I remember correctly, they were pretty visible a few years ago for a couple of days (November 2004 I believe). I don't think I ever really got a good view of them, though.

I've seen them three times in my lifetime and everytime it was spectacular. The best show was in the '80's. But there was one time in 1997ish....that was also really good.
Pinks and greens and whites all together. I first noticed them while driving home from Boston and I ran into the house when I got home to gather everyone up to go outside and watch them. Awesome! I heard on the radio the next day that they were seen as far south as Texas.

That one ('97ish) was seen in Hampton, VA too- I remember hearing about it, was mad because I had class that night and missed it. I hadn't realized before then that you could see them so far south. I was told to check Space Weather .com to see which nights I'd have the best luck to catch them again. Good Luck!
