Default Best Places to Live in Southern NH

Hello,

My boyfriend and I are looking to move to southern NH. He currently works in Hudson and I am finishing up my last semester at UMass Lowell. We are currently working on a house in Litchfield but it's been taking so long we aren't sure if it is going to work out or not.

If anyone can suggest any towns in the Hudson area that are nice, ie. not too much traffic, more on the quiet side, good school system, nice neighborhoods, it would really help us out. We currently only live about 30 minutes away in Mass but prefer to move to NH. Also if possible close to either 93 or 3 would be great since I'm still commuting

Thanks!

How about Hollis? It's a little pricey, but it's a great town, with top notch schools, just the other side of Nashua to access to 93/3 is easy. Or maybe Merrimack?

+1 to Hollis, top-notch schools, cute little town, very NH- but very close to everything else.

I suggest Londondery because it meets your critera and is on the East side of the Merimack River and your commute would avoid the trafffic jam on Rt 102 in Nashua.

The other question is once you graduate from UMASS...where do you think you may work? I find 3 to have a lot less traffic than 93...but if you don't plan on working north/south along either route...then it doesn't matter as much.
