I love the Chocolatier in Exeter. It's expensive but I would be shocked if they use HFCS. Their molasses sponge is soooo good.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

lol! you Crazy guy!

But I still want to know why the holiday isn't reciprocal?! Why aren't women buying presents for the men? Are there any women here who buy similar gifts for the men in their life???

I always give my husband a gift and all my friends do, too. I've never heard that that wasn't traditional....

I don't think it's a case of 'not being traditional', as much as marketing focus. I have yet to see an ad for anything that shows women buying something for me - only the jewelry, cards, candy, flowers... for the women. And of the people around here, the guys might get a card or something 'light', but always expect one of the above which costs much more. The men I've talked to also tend to dislike the holiday since they too feel it as a 'test' and not an equal expression.

I'm glad that folks in NH are a bit more enlightened. the cesspool around the nations capitol isn't (what a surprise )

Oh, and for Valentines Day? We've been married close to 20 years... have celebrated close to 30 Valentines Day's together... so this year we did something COMPLETELY different.

We took the kids and went to see Monster Trucks (El Torro Loco, Grave Digger, Avenger, etc) down in Worcester at the DCU Center. Told you it was different... I'd post a picture, but the memory card is in the Wii, and I don't know how to get it out (where's a kid when you need one)

And yes I ate chocolate on the way LOL
