Default Renting out garden space?

Is anyone aware of anywhere in NH where I can rent out garden space? Now that I live in a townhouse I am limited in my gardening to my deck. I would be interested to know if there are any farms or other places that rent out plots that I may grow veggies on. I thought I read an article about a place like this a few years back but don't remember where it is. I live in the Lakes region.

Thanks,

Nicolem

various towns have community gardens - they are free, you just have to maintain your space

Raymond has one on route 102....Hollis has one.

your best bet is to contact your local extension agent. They will have a list of where the community gardens in NH are located.

I think there is someplace up on Parade Road in Laconia that allows this ? Check out those "community sections" in the Cirizen, Weirs Times, and the Daily Sun.

The state leases about 100 garden plots on six acres in Concord. Gardeners pay between $10 and $30 for the season, depending on the size of the plot.

In past years, there usually were about a dozen vacant plots, but in 2008, there were 45 people on a waiting list.

I can imagine the demand this year will be even more!
