For those of us old enough to remember we had the global cooling scare in the 70s (the coming ice age) then we had the acid rain scare in the 80s (we are all going to die) now it's this global warming foolishness......just sad
Yes I remember all of those! I especially remember as a kid in the 1970's the ice age scare tactics-trying to convince us all the next ice age was coming and coming soon.
Ok, I hate most taxes as well, but I don't have a big problem with cap and trade. I do think if cap and trade is implemented in needs to be more moderate as to not impact lower income people. However, I think technology can be developed to reduce emissions over time anyway.
A little cooling has been happening because we are near the low end of the sunspot cycle which typically means cooler temperatures. Seven out of the last eight years have been the warmest globally.
Not to mention the carbon tax that he is propsing-many are saying it could add $1.27 to a gallon of gas. That will really help the economy.
Source? From the information I have gathered it appears cap and trade will impact electrcity prices much more. A lot of it goes back to what people will tolerate in there backyard. Do you want a coal plant near your town? If you don't will the electricity come from natural gas? In NH we are moving to diversify our energy portfolio so that 25% of our electricity comes from renewable sources in the next 10-15 years.

Just out of curiosity; warmest in regards to how many years back?
