I've been thnking of moving to Brattleboro, VT, and I am researching lakes, ponds, swimming holes and pools in the area.

Are there any good, pretty places to swim and boat near Keene, Hinsdale, etc.?

Thanks.

There is a nice swimming hole north of Brattleboro along route 30- about 7-8 miles or so along a river (forget the name) very pretty area, with ledges and some sandy beach. Part of the area is clothes optional and further up mostly gay.

Kayaking on the Connecticut river just north of Brattleboro.

Thanks for your reply. I think you are referring to the swimming hole on the West River. There is one with a nude area and a gay area.

What about across the Connecticut River, in New Hampshire?
