Default ossipee anyone ?

Hi All
My wife bonnie and I will be moving to NH and seriously thinking about moving to the Ossipee area sometime later this year.
Any of you good folks from that area that we could talk to? Feel free to contact me of list if you would like.
I hope to be semi retired by then. That means only one full time job!!
I am an inactive flight instructor and aircraft mechanic. I am hoping to get a position at a Home Depot up there.I work for them now and dont mind commuting to be able to live in an area like Ossipee.
We have relatives in Merideth and Ashland but have never seen Ossipee yet but like averything we have read about it on the web.
Dan & Bonnie Tappan
PS.. Friends of Bill

I drive through Ossipee quite a bit (2 or 3 times a week) it looks very nice. it is about 20 - 25 minutes to the mountians and about 50 - 60 minutes to the Seacoast. The commute on Rte 16 is pretty quick year round

The nearest Home Depot is in Rochester. (25-30 minutes South on Rte. 16) (they are slowly building a HD in North Conway)

I have a House in North Conway and notice that there are not too many good paying jobs in the Ossipee / North Conway area.

Default Be careful of these people!!!!!

They are not what they claim. Trust me when i say the crime rate goes up in the neighborhoods they target. Many lifes have been shattered by them, mostly teenagers..........even panda bears look sweet untill they chew your arm off.

Someone needs to put down the crack pipe. Seriously, Rochester is also a possibility as you also have the airport nearby, but if you don't mind a drive (but keep in mind this week's weather), Ossipee is a nice alternative.

We don't live in Ossipee, but we have a summer home in Sanbornville. We bought the house 30 years ago and I grew up there. I love it... I want to move my family there one day... when my husband doesn't have to work anymore I think.

Well, I don't know if you're still out there, dancfi, but I think you would be choosing a nice town in Ossipee. ...Maybe you're already there by now! It is absolutely beautiful -mountains and lakes and plenty to do. The school system is very good, and there is even a special neighborhood called Aviation Village for people who own planes, right on Ossipee Lake. It's an easy commute to Rochester.
