http://www.whitefieldnh.org/ . It looks like it needs updating, but you can get some "feel" for the area. Whitefield is where the Weathervane Theater is located (here's a link for that if you're interested:
http://www.weathervanetheatre.org/ ), which is quite active in the summer months. There is also the Black Bear Bistro (I think that's the name) which is an old movie theater which was converted and periodically has an "acoustic open mic brunch" on Sundays. We have friends there who like it very much.
I can't tell you about the school district, but I like the "feel" of the town, although I haven't spent much time there yet....It's not far from where we are in Littleton.
