Default moving again *sigh* this time to dover/rochester

So after living in Stoddard since late August... it's time for my FH to move to NH and start up his career.... which means i must move again He'll be working in Rochester and needs a smaller commute than i do (he's a doc n could sometimes have emergencies to respond to... or he's just lying to me and doesn't want to drive far HAHA)

anywhoo... we've been looking at Dover b/c I'll be commuting into Keene once a week and to Concord 2-3 times/week. we're going to rent for the 1st year then *should all go well w/his job* we'll start looking to buy.

in the small amount of time i've been looking for apts i've noticed that a lot of the ppl i'd be renting with/competing w/for rentals are college students... we want a QUIET apartment... any suggestions on where we should look? we're limited to dover i just don't know the area well

i realize that if we're looking at cheap rentals it's gonna be college students but thought maybe ppl would have suggestions... so i'm open to anything

i found "brook farm condo's" in rochester last night and have emailed them anyone know this place?

anyone in the area know if we should be looking at like apt buildings versus someone renting out apartments in multi-fam homes...

thanks for any help y'all knowledgable ppl can provide!

Dover is a lovely town - (of course I grew up there and maybe a bit biased). I would see if you can find just a duplex or something - apartment complexes can be a little less quiet than just a neighborhood. Have you checked Foster's Daily Democrat newspaper classified for rentals? They are the primary newspaper for Dover and surrounding areas (well Portsmouth has the Herald). Good luck, you'll love the town!

it's your typical apt. complex...it's 30 years old and it shows. the good thing about it is it's location across from Rochester's country club, so it's fairly quiet and it's not in 'downtown' Rochester.

Have you considered Farmington? There are some really nice and new subdivisions - Farmington is a bordering town to Rochester.
