Thanksgiving get-away with family (Conway, North Conway: renting, house, live in)

Can anyone help me? Thanksgiving every year is at my home where we have anywhere between 30 to 60 family and friends in attendance. Earlier this this year, we began tossing around going away this Thanksgiving. Just the immediate family (15). We will like to go to an area where there is snow for the children to be able to play (5 grandchildren ages 6 to 17 years); a large enough kitchen and eating area to accommodate 15; this also goes for sleeping space. I live in Boston, MA. We are considering somewhere in NH, as it is not to far a distance to travel, hence keeping cost down. Any suggetions of areas to research?

the problem is that while thanksgiving isn't necessarily too early for snow, it is still kinda early. Can't really guarantee snow anywhere! You'd definitely have to at least look in the mountains or North Country.

it happened once in the '60's.....we got a blizzard that dumped a foot or more...


we try to ski on Thanksgiving, but the only areas open are usually the big ones in VT that have tons of snowmaking...

Carroll County had its first real snow over Thanksgiving this year. It was enough for the kids to play in, but nothing major (you could still see grass beneath.) You could try renting a house around North Conway or Jackson. You'd be just under three hours from Boston.

Snow on the ground for Thanksgiving? Maybe you should consider northern Vermont or Maine for your family gathering.

If I had 30-60 people coming to my house for Thanksgiving, I'd want to get away too... Yikes You really ARE an angel!
