I agree. That is what I have realized in researching this (also work related). Hopefully people will learn more about what is being discussed in this thread - the quality of life benefits and general *cost effectiveness* of wetland delineation - and not just lump it into nut-job hippie freakness.

Some- not all but some of it is 'nut-job hippie freakness' as they use these things as tools of their agenda. The tide is going to swing hard against greenness, because of teh legislative actions of nut-job hippie freaks. Anything manipulated by them will e pounded into the sand. Besides cleanliness comes from prosperity not law.

There are many of who believe this, obviously you do. I can assure you however that this is far from the case. Everything I deal with in my career flies in total opposite of your logic.

Come to some of our job sites and see what "prosperous" companies have done in the absence or ignorance of law. You would all be appalled, shocked, and disgusted.

Agree with mustmove on the point that the $focus on wetlands is one tool in the agenda of the green obsessed but it is an example which proves the value in examining each issue separately regardless of whose toolbag they are typically in. I am guilty of this myself in some cases but try to educate on an issue by issue basis. No, I don't believe that cleanliness comes from prosperity regardless of my disdain for regulations. It should, but prosperity does not necessarily come w/conscience.
