If you go to Northwood by way of the Epsom Circle (Jct. 28/4), it's totally worth it to drive a few miles north (on 28) to Bear Hill Rd. in Chichester. The view from the top is absolutely Breath Taking!!

Well, we just got back from our awesome day about 1/2 hour ago! I'm beat!!!
My son has a great "eye" for photography and he's only 10. He was right down on his belly on the rocks taking photos of the ocean. I'll have to post some tomorrow AFTER I get some sleep! LOL

We ended up taking 1A all the way from Salisbury to York, making several stops along the way. At the Nubble Lighthouse, it was SO windy we had to eat our "picnic" lunch in the car. The seagulls didn't even have to flap their wings at ALL. They simply spread them and they would glide in the air rather than fly. My son got a kick out of that.

Then we went to Mount Agamenticus to take some pics. You can see Mt. Washington from the top. Then we took Route 4 through Dover, Durham, etc. on the way home. It was so nice.

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. We had a great day!

Well, Here are a few pics from our fun day yesterday. : ) Once my son gets his uploaded from his camera, I'll post a few of his too.

The first 2 pics are from Salisbury State Park. The 3rd is from Hampton / North Beach.

Sometimes we will draw a straight line on a map (Nashua to Claremont for instance) and try and stay as close to it as possible using whatever roads are available.

The Drive from Concord to Leabanon along Rt 4 is very pretty and peaceful.

Default Prettiest drive in the state

I haven't actually been everywhere, but the pretties drive in the state, as far as I can see is rout 107 from Raymond to Laconia. It has high overlooks, farms, and is stunning during fall foliage season. My second favorite is 101 from Bedford to Peterborough. any bushwacking that you would care to do northward on secondary routes toward New London is also quite beautiful.Route 4 from the north side of Concord to Lebanon is great too.

Just bumping to say...
Our plan was to take 106N yesterday until I remembered this thread.
Holy Cow, 107 is lovely - Many Thanks!
I made DH nervous a few times trying to keep my eyes on the road especially coming down to Loon Pond.
And on the was back we saw a few balloons over Pittsfield, nice bonus.

That sounds very nice!!! My son and I took a trip up to Meredith/Moultonborough last weekend and had a great day! We went off the beaten path (away from tourists) quite a few times and got some nice pics!
