depends on what you like which would influence what is "best for you" Think about what you like doing when you're not working and ask where are the best places to do these things and you'll probably get answers that are more meaningful.

Seacoast area is probably going to fit your needs - Manchester and Nashua are large cities, Concord is smaller. I believe with the limited information you provided, the Seacoast is a good place to start.

My favorite city in NH is Portsmouth, but "best" is highly subjective.

If I had to live IN any city in NH, as opposed to one of the smaller towns outside the city, I would absolutely choose Portsmouth. I love it. There is a mall in Newington, outlets in Kittery, UNH is in Durham, it's right on the ocean, there are plenty of restaurants and lots of beautiful old buildings as well as cultural offerings (theater, live music etc). It's about an hour from Boston and an hour from the mountains.

Portsmouth is definitely a great place to visit. I've never lived there, but it's terrific to visit and has a wonderful nightlife. In fact, I picked Seabrook in part because it offers access to Portsmouth, Amesbury, Newburyport, and Hampton Beach, but it's not as expensive as any of those towns. Seabrook has a few places open at night also, so you don't have to drive far if you don't want to.

I like Portsmouth because the whole Seacoast area is very and it's a pretty nice city overall.
I also like Manchester although many people will probably talk about how bad it is and whatnot. Not all of Manchester is bad, and even the bad parts really are not that bad compared to cities in other states.
Concord is almost like a smaller, cleaner version of Manchester with lots of rural areas surrounding it that are pretty close.
