It was 29 deg at my place in southern NH this morning. We could use a little global, although local would do, warming.

In the 60’s-70’s, NH got whacked by acid rain from the coal powered plants in the Ohio valley. That adversely effected many aspects of the NH environment (as any fisherman can recall) That situation has thankfully, been mitigated a great deal.
As for the current global warming situation. It might just be nostalgia, but it doesn’t seem like we get any where near the amount of snow we received in the 60’s-70’s. I have no actual stats to back this up, it just seems that way. Anyone else care to chime in on this one, one way or the other?
The weather here fluctuates greatly so it can sometimes be hard to tell, but we had both a very long warm spell this summer, and 60+ degree days in the beginning of december that were just out of place.
As for the global warming question in general, at this point all but the most naive of us (and one senator from Texas) recognize it as a fact of life these days. 5 years ago, there could still be an logical argument made against it. Now the evidence for it is overwhelming. If you don’t think it’s a fact, you are not reading enough. The only question now, is how much is natural, and how much is man made. If anyone is not yet convinced of the change, i would be more than happy to furnish you with as much additional facts as needed to show you the truth.

TO MOVINGBACK! :0)
Hello there!
Thank you so much for your response! I appreciate it!
I agree with you!
I read something on the BBC website that certain factors were natural, and others were man made, and that the man made ones were the worse factors. I cannot remember all of the details. I will look up the article and post it here. As human beings, I believe all of our modern inventions and over consumption must have had an imprint on the planet! That is ,in a negative way! I have been to many cities, that 30 years ago you had to wear a coat, scarf, gloves, and now people walk around like if it were an island in the Caribbean!
Take care,

Yeah, and to get another take on things, google "Global Warming: A Chilling Perspective". It's an easy read and it makes a lot of sense. Any climate changes are most likely naturally caused, and to try and alter the weather is extreme folly, and most likely, futile. But it's become a political weapon, and that's what this is really all about, isn't it? I never thought I would see the day when even the weather became politicized!
People remember what they want to. They recall 60 degree temps in the winter, but don't acknowledge freakish, record-setting snow storms and cold that has affected much of the U.S. these past few weeks. Oh, that's right. The weather is supposed to be be getting warmer, so let's not talk about cold snaps or anything like that. I think that's called selective memory.

Glad you enjoyed- Fascinating site to read. As New Englanders we should all take this seriously- for those who think it is 'overblown' I hope future generations pin the possible truth of these predictions and their consequences on you.

Thousands of years ago the Arctic was tropical who says it shouldn't be that way again. Who caused it to be tropical--the dinosaurs? Why does it have tons of ice now? Maybe the world changes constantly and has very little to do with us. We conveniently avoid the facts that don't agree with our positions. Do I believe we have some part in this yes but very small. The world is constantly changing sometimes it is decades and sometimes it is centuries. The sun has been in one of its hottest cycles in the last number of years but obviously this has nothiung to do with the warming-right. There were no glaciers a long time ago who says they should be there constantly. When politicians and celebritys who own 20,000 SF houses and fly all over the country in private jets and drive the biggest vehicles around end their hypocrisy then talk to me.
