Massachusetts passes New Hampshire economic stimulus plan.
Who'da thunk it ?
Its good to have a retail business in a border town.
Influx of Libertarian and Conservative voters predicted in New Hampshire as middle class residents pack up and flee.

The Massachusetts suicide experiment continues. This is why it's of utmost importance that we rid ourselves in the next election of the Massachusetts-style government that has taken root in NH. The ONLY thing that matters to these democrat hacks in Mass & NH is getting your money in their hands. Some states have a 10% sales tax out west ! They never stop.....and they never cut spending. Aside from Mass bringing there sales tax to 6.25% they are also going to extend their sales tax to alcohol. I feel bad for the working people of Mass. You're welcome up here to spend your money
There is not yet anything in the Massachusetts forum taking about these new taxes.......a combination of apathy & corruption has taken the fight out of those people. I don't want this kind of future for NH.

^^ I think the folks in MA are collectively delusional and otherwise generally insane.
They keep voting these yoyos in, things keep getting worse, and the people seem to think things are getting better.

There's more, lol, there always is in Massachusetts. The cities & towns will now be allowed to add up to 2% on the rooms & meals tax. This, for the first time I believe in Mass history, allows for local taxation. Now that local cities & towns can tax seperate from the state it opens up and endless can of worms. The cities are going to want more and more local taxing power in the future......wow. If I were a Mass resident I would be getting ALL my ducks in a row.....and as soon as I could get out, I would. Or, if I coud not get out now I would make sure that I would not be retiring there.

Gotta love the failed socialism experiment of MA. They continue to show just how bad liberalism works.
This is the best thing that could have happened to NH.

Good for the people of MA. They are getting the government they so richly deserve. They brought it all on themselves and so let them enjoy what they've created.

Alcohol has now been added to the sales tax. Prior to this, there was no sales tax as there was already an excise tax. This looks like a win for NH:
- Sales tax will drive more shoppers north
- Alcohol tax makes the NH state liquor store even more attractive
- No income tax increase so those that live in NH but work in MA won't pay more

I wish I had gone to the Manchester School budget meeting yesterday to support the layoffs of 70 teachers and to suggest at least doubling that number (or making other cuts). My jaw almost dropped to the floor when I heard their budget was something like $150 million!
Are you kidding me? Do these sob stories from government worker hacks work on anyone anymore?
I can't think of one thing that would cause me to support a single cent in tax increase. Until government shrinks by 90% save the sob stories.

I particularly loved this sentence from the article: "The Senate ultimately agreed that higher taxes were needed to offset some of the cuts they have proposed." So, they somehow figure that they cut something? What maroons!

Meaning higher taxes = lower revenues?
Other than the throats of commonwealth citizens, nuttin much gets cut by these types. Oh, others' jobs.
I will here repeat my earlier prediction of a Noah-class flood when the $2 billion (=$15+ billion) big dig/chunnel collapses. This disaster, caused by corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, & contractors, will dwarf 911 in terms of lives and property destroyed.
