The problem with a lot of NH is a geography that is not conducive to cellular radio transmissions (line of site...so mountains/hills/trees = issues) as well as a low population density (is it worth putting in a $200,000 tower to boost signal for 100 people). As a result not only is setting up a quality network expensive (lots of towers) but the return on the investment is pretty poor.

In short- I wouldn't hold your breath for better service; but newer technologies that bring down the cost of setting up towers will result in improvements in the future.

In general I find Verizon is much better than ATT. YMMV.

You might be able to boost your reception with a Wilson trucker antenna and an amplifier. A lot of full time RVers do it.

Another option is if you really just want better cell service in your home...and you have a location (outside, upstairs, etc) that has decent service "if you stand really still" you can get a cellular repeater for a fairly low cost that will essentially receive/send to the tower from that location (of the decent signal) and then repeat it throughout your home (giving you a good signal throughout).

You HAVE to have a "decent" signal somewhere though...this is usually the best solution if one room has a great signal or if one side of the home outside does, etc. It can't "create" a signal where there is none.
