Default around Hillsboro

What is it like in this area? Schools? Climate? Housing? Property Taxes?

What are recommended areas within a 30 minute commute that have top notch public schools and are family-oriented? What about the Concord area?

I am used to brutally cold midwestern winters with sub-zero temps and bone-chilling wind chill. Will it be similar or more mild? I like the weather of southern new england...how does it compare in NH?

Last, I understand that property taxes are high throughout the state and really bad in areas with better rated schools. What is it like to buy and build on land in NH? Say a 2000-2500 sq. ft home...would we be looking at a $7000/year property tax payment? How are property values determined?

Thanks in advance for any answers to my questions...

Default Hillsboro

Hello Sugarlips, you mean the town, not the county, right?

Sorry, wish I could help but I've only visited the town - it's a bit off the beaten path for my personal tastes (other folks like that, however). They do have some pretty neat stone bridges there, built over 150 years ago without cement or mortar, that are still in use.
