And it will be called the Robin Hood tax.

DW- we will muddle through this crisis because the "Masters of the Universe" own the economy and simply will not let it collapse. A collapse would force them to drink cheap booze instead of the good stuff and send their little brats to public schools instead of the Little Masters prep schools.

If you want NH to have an income tax that is amongst the highest in the country, you'll be a long time waiting. Move to MA. The fact that you'd propose an overhaul of the tax system in the interest of fairness and then admit that the plan would enable you to not pay any taxes is priceless. Typical liberal - "Let's make it fair and, by the way, that means I pay nothing". Sorry, but issues like tax reform will be handled by the grown-ups in the state...

I already pay Massachussetts income tax. I am talking a fairly distributed tax and I am a grown up.

Yeah, the changes you suggest would certainly benefit you. When it comes to being "fair", most "grown-ups" don't consider just themselves.
The NH state median income for a family of 4 is $87,347. Doulbe that and you get $174,694. Do you really think that there are enough people with incomes over $174K that the state budget could be funded by a 10% tax on what they make in excess of $174k? Next time, do us all a favor and think it through before posting these "ideas"...

Right up to the point where you are forced to pay MA sales taxes on items you buy here. Constitution? Interstate commerce clauses? Only a nuisance to a liberal.

+1 I've said it before, when a state government gets as large and over bearing as Massachusetts it's sole purpose is generating enough revenue to support itself.

I pay a Mass INCOME tax as well as Mass sales tax on things I buy in Boston. My proposals would not only benefit me they would benefit everyone in my salary range and below.
BTW - Your responses are a source of great insight into the me generation as well as being very amusing.

You are the one who has thrown around words and phrases like "cheapskates" and "me generation" yet you are the only one who is proposing a plan to pay zero in NH taxes-I have seen no one else propose that they pay zero. I feel eveyone needs to contribute to run the state of NH not just the "evil rich". I believe you are the only one who wants to pay nothing-the rest of us are voicing our opinion regarding paying too much and being asked to pay more and more.

The ME GENERATION???? Don't talk about the ME GENERATION Greg when you are the one that wants a tax system that only sticks it to those who bust their asses and make good money. That is the exact definition of ME.
A real fair system would be a FLAT tax. But we all know the liberals won't go for that. They need others to pull their weight for them. The more you post the more I realize our country is going in to the dumper at light speed.
