Bus from New London to Hanover ?
Hi there,
Is there local bus service from New London NH to Hanover NH? I notice that Dartmouth Coaches travels between the two but only discharges passengers in New London on the way north -- doesn't see to pick them up to travel to Hanover. Is there another public transportation option between the two towns?
We are moving from Maine to the Upper Valley (spouse is working at Dartmouth) and are thinking of buying a house in New London.
Thanks.

Vermont Transit/Greyhound may...but it would only bring you to White River Junction if that would work for you.

I don't think there is a bus besides Dartmouth Coach, which as you noted, only discharges passengers in NL when going northbound. It's about 20-30 minutes from NL to Dartmouth, depending on where in NL you leave from. We live 2 minutes over the NL town line in Wilmot and it takes us about 25 minutes to the campus.

Thank you! I had a feeling there wasn't another bus but wanted to check with someone who knows the area. Bummer that car is the only way to Hanover from NL.

Public transportation isn't NH's strong point. That said, there are a lot of people that commute up that way - i bet over time you can find a ride share.

There should be some car-pooling situation in that area ? Check with Dartmouth.
