I have about less than 3 weeks to find an extended stay or temp apt etc and we are looking in Southern NewHampshire area, Dover and surrounding towns. We did get a referral to an extended stay in Merrimack but its very expensive so we are still looking to see if anyone who has relocated to the area knows of any good, clean, safe places to stay for about a mnth, maybe two until we get some house buying headaches out of the way. I have a teen and a dog so its slim pickings I know but we have excellent references and just need some other ideas. Coming up this weekend to look around further but thought I would put this out there to see if anyone knew of any other small places that would be good for us.
Thanks again, slowly but surely getting there.

A co-worker who was on a contract of a few months in Manchester stayed in a small hotel-motel off of Rt.101 in Bedford after making a deal with the management. The room had a small kitchen and was what we used to call an efficiency apartment. You may have to stay in a regular hotel for a few days while you travel around talking to hotel people. You may find the best deal in a non-chain type facility.
Of course the dog will complicate issues.

If you just need something temporary, check Craigslist for vacation rentals. They're usually much cheaper in winter. You'd probably have to be out in May though.
