Default Salem to Boston Travel time

Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to moving to Pelham, NH, next month. I'll be driving daily via I-93 to downtown Boston (bus and other commuter means not an option). I've looked at the smartraveler.com website which predicts travel time between Boston and the New Hampshire border. It reports the commute around 55 minutes from the NH border to downtown during rush hour (7-8am and 5-6 pm). Is this an accurate time to anticipate commuting during those times. I'm coming from the DC metro area where I commute 40 miles a day, but the HOV lanes make it pretty fast. Thanks!

I used to travel from Derry, NH to Boston daily and years ago it was 45 minutes - then more and more commuters joined the traveling and I had to leave by 5:45AM if I expected to get to work for 7AM.

traveling home though was always an hour plus....15 minutes or so.. so yes I would say your estimate is pretty accurate..

Sounds like a good estimate. But remember it can take much longer when a citizen stuffs the car into the ARMCO.
