Just think how many mosquitos are busy breeding in all the little, and some large, puddles that have been created by this rain.

I've just decided to do all the things I would do even if it was sunny , my hikes have been centered around ones with waterfalls, and yesterday despite the rain showers still went out on the boat on squam and fished in a quiet cove and caught some great fish. enjoy the weather you have instead of wishing for the weather you want.

I agree but there's some things you simply cannot do in this weather.
We've been planning on doing the Presidential Traverse this Saturday. It's about 15 miles of above tree line hiking and hiking that in bad weather simply is not an option. For me the mountains are always there and I can do it any day, but he's flown out here and has been training for months so it's a one shot deal for him.
In addition I usually fish out of my kayak at night on the ocean. The humidity has been bringing in thick fog on the water after dark. That's the last place to be kayaking at night unless you want to become a statistic.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say this summer hasn't been too good for views off of Mount Washington.
I miss the White Mountains.

Nope...pretty bad views. This is what I got for all my effort last week hiking the Kinsman Range.
What should've been a great view of the Franconia Range...not so much...

I see that. I was in that area a few years ago hiking up to Lonesome Lake. Had great sunny weather.
Well at least a bad day of hiking is better than a good day at work. I'd rather have that bad view than be behind the desk.

Finally hit 80 degrees here in Bristol -- first time this month, I think.
I'm gonna go for a swim in the lake in a little bit.

Looks like storms on the radar off to the west. They probably won't make it in here today.
