workers having trouble finding housing. WHAT IS THAT A JOKE. ?hOW ABOUT WORKERS HAVING TROUBLE FINDING JOBS. SOMEBODY IS DRINKING A LOT OF KOOL AID. LOOK , IF A FAST FOOD DUMP WANTS TO PAY MINIMUM WAGE AND THOSE WORKERS CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY A HOME -IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. MAYBE THE DUMBASSES WHO CREATED THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING"LAW" (THERE IS NO WAY THIS LAW HAS ANY POWER TO FORCE ITS WILL BY THE WAY)MAYBE THE DUMBASSES IN THE REAL ESTATE BUSINESS AND THE SLAVE LABOR MARKET WHO CAME UP WITH THIS HOUSING LAW OUGHT TO CREATE A FEW JOBS BEFORE THEY BUILD THE HOUSES. THATS WHY I KNOW THIS ENTIRE MESS IS BOGUS. WHAT IS THE BIG LIE ? FREE HOUSING FOR MCDONALDS WORKERS !FREE HOSING FOR THE TAX PAYERS is more like it. PEOPLE PUSHING AFFORDABLE HOUSING DON'T CARE ABOUT POOR PEOPLE, THEY WANT BODIES FOR MINIMUM WAGE JOBS OR ELSE WANT TO LMAKE MONEY BUILDING, COLLECTING RENT, OR GETTING REAL ESTATE COMISSIONS BY ERECTING SLUM HOUSING. THE HOUSING LAW CAN'T BE ENFORCED BUT BOY THE CARPETBAGGERS JUMPED THROUGH HOOPS MAKING SURE THEY SHOVED IT DOWN THE HOMEOWNERS THROAT. POWER TO THE PEOPLE , TAX THE RICH , LIVE FREE OR GET THE HELL OUT OF MY TOWN

Jobs first , affordable housing later. Minimum wage workers couldn't afford to pay $200 a month rent let alone affordable prices. How about paying people a living wage and get off the backs of the taxpayers. No free housing for big businesses wage slaves

The reason the we have high property values is because if we had low property values, the town would make less money on property taxes. So the entire workforce housing issue is bogus, based on over inflated, unrealistic property values. Im not blaming town administrators, this is a state issue. Jobs before free worker housing. There are no jobs . I don't need mcdonalds or taco bell, so i don't want to give the workers there free housing when londonderry has the highest property taxes in the world.

Seem this thread has become a major ranting ground for a relative newbie. If Mr. Bush is so upset about Londonderry property taxes perhaps he should relocate to Massachusetts. After all if his income is not capable of supporting property tax, the income tax in Mass is progressive and the property taxes, but not the property values, are much lower. He just might net more on a yearly basis.
I pay a fair amount of attention to local government affairs and I do not recall if Mr. Bush has ever attended the Planning Board, Town Council or the annual Town Meeting, or more importantly School Board, sessions. These are open to all town residents. I suggest he attend these meetings and find out what is actually happening before he starts ranting.
FWIW – My wife and I do not have any children so we only benefit indirectly from the school system. What we do get is good roads frequently plowed after snow storms, an excellent small library, trash removal (I despise the idea of having to join a crowd of cheapskates taking their trash to the dump every Saturday), and a very responsive fire and rescue department. Then there are Mack’s Apples and Sunnycrest Farms along with Hank Peterson’s Maple sugar shack. These, alone, make Londonderry worth living in even with the high taxes.
I like it the way it is. If the complainer does not, then he can either try and change it politically or don’t let the door hit him on the way out of town.

I agree with you about the ranting on this thread, Greg. It will have to be closed if continues...
BTW, Mass. doesn't have a progressive income tax, don't give them any more ideas, please!

guess the wimps are out there, "my god a rant". oHHH. And the other timeless quip"if you don't like it leave". Sounds like the brainwashed are chirping. "ohh if the ranting contiWnues, we will have to close down the web !" I could care less what "my wife and I benefit indirectly from the school system" What are you , a couple of janitors ? Wow, and we have the Maple Sugar shack !
Who cares. Who the hell cares. The tread will have to be closed if the ranting continues? No I don't think so. You know where the button is onyour computer. Get the hell out of the thread if you don't have the mental capacity to know what debate is. You call it a rant. It's called Ideas. You can't handle a debate or ideas. Clam up then or move out. You're boring us , the both of you. The current property tax system in NH is the most unfair of any system in the world. You cheapskates who don't want to contribute to the educational system through income taxes all make me sick, taking the high road, not allowing free and open debate, pretending to be for the people, yet ready to kick a layed off worker out of his home because he didn't have the 5 or 10 grand to pay his property taxes. The fat cats who moved up from mass. to oppress us locals had better be ready to open your wallets. Pay your income tax, support the school system you misers and quit acting like your better than us because some friend or relative got you a high paying job .
