Stay away from Londonderry, That's were I have settled for the past 10 years and annoy my neighbors. I have a big tattoo on my forehead that says "Born in Brooklyn", somehow, they all know we're from the great state of N.Y. Oh yeah, I'm a Mets, Islander and Jets fan. Try Colebrook and that area, peaceful and should be able to avoid most humans up that way.

Good Luck :-(

I am originally from the pocket of NY that is 4 miles from NYC.

Does that make me a NY'er, or a NJ'ite?

We settled in the Mt. Washington Valley. While I have run into folk from NJ/NY that have settled up here too, by far the folks are native to the area.

That being said, I have YET to meet anyone here with the attitude & posturing of the folk from Bergen/NYC. The people in the valley are are good generous folk, and the area is all I looked for and more. We originally were looking at the areas from Rumney to Lincoln, in the valley there, but fell in love with our community, and the people therein.

I dare you not to find a place within this state you'll not want to call home.

I think in high degrees, the NY accent can be a little too much and it can get to be unfunny after a bit.
