I don't know about the folding yaks but my sister used a folding dinghy for a tender for her sloop and it folded up with her in it once, not fun for her but she managed to make it to shore. I wish I'd been there to get some funny photos before trying to save her !!!
Are those big fish stripped bass ? We don't have those here, I'm kinda jealous.

yup...stipers. Bluefish are starting to show up too

I wouldn't be too jealous...I love fishing in the ocean and saltwater is a ton of fun but it's hard to beat a northern trout stream in the rockies (assuming that's close to you...Montana is a big state).

+1

there's nothing more relaxing and frustrating at the same time as a nice trout stream.

I used to salt water fish many years ago....used to run out to the canyon in my 30 foot Rabalo center console.....off the Jersey coast...1987-89

Got very expensive, even then, 80 miles out and 80 miles back.

I've discovered fly fishing, and re-discovered ultra lights....just plain fun.

here's what made me by my Kayaks....

My neighbor's kid was out on the water in a 9footer, and being a 45 year old kid, I had to borrow it.

While I am STUFFED into his tiny 'yak, [and have no embarrasment...LOL]

just getting out to float and see things from the water, NOT the shore did it.

I've always had a boat or two, even when I was a kid my folks belonged to a yacht club. I lived on the sloop pictured below for 8 years in San Diego. It was a 30 foot Columbia.
Now all my boats are Cobra sit-on-tops. I have an Explorer, a Navigator and a Marauder.
I also have an old Coleman Crawdad with a really odd history. Pictured below I had just floated past a cow elk feeding her baby on the shore. The following week we floated past a black bear. The last picture is before I chopped the motor shaft down to size on the Marauder.
