My husband and son just left this morning from CT. I loaded them up with snacks and drinks. I hope it doesn't get rained out either!

We are here already -hanging out with some friends from Canada who we met years ago at the race. They do the RV thing every year with a lot of great food, satellite, everything is top notch. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met. We have also caught up with some friends from NJ and PA who we see every year.

I really hope that the weather holds- I am truly sick of all the rain. Driving down from the Lakes region this morning we saw some of damage from yesterday's storms-parts of 107, 140 and 106 were washed out-nothing too major thankfully.

NH2NCMom- I will be thinking of you because I know you will miss not being here today!!!

Have fun everyone!

Thanks Nicole - yes I certainly miss sitting up there and watching it first-hand! So many friends and family were there today too It's almost heart-breaking to watch it on TV knowing dang well I have season tickets that I can't use LOL.

Glad everyone enjoyed the race and yes it's much better in person than "memorex".

My husband and son enjoyed the race, but on the bus back to their car some guy punched another guy and almost accidentally slugged my 10 year old son who was standing nearby (on a very crowded bus).

oh no! That's awful...

I'd be willing to bet the guy was (umm..let's say) 1/2 in the wrapper?? I saw LOTS of people that SHOULD NOT have been driving home from there!

I'm glad they enjoyed the race and did NOT accidentally get punched!
