Thanks

it's faaaaar from a city. I think it's fairly safe but there isn't much there in the way of anything. It's off the highway which is convenient.

Yes Raymond is not a city -there is new construction going on(like elsewhere) and some 55+ type developments plannned. It is a mix of older areas and newer built up areas.

I also thought they had some big box retail planned for there-not sure on the status-have not read about it in the news lately. Because of 101, expect it to continue to be built up, especially when the economy rebounds.

Thanks fishnfool and nicolem,

I see Raymond has some very nice looking townhomes but they are for 55+ age range.
I'm 25 years from that!

Raymond has some nice areas if your into rural living. As posted earlier it is close to the highway so Manchester or the seacoast are only a half hour or so away. There are a few nice lakes and ponds in that area also.

If you're 30, and especially if you're single I think you would be bored to tears living in Raymond.

Compared to AZ (generally), Raymond is really safe/low crime. Just some minor vandalism, petty theft, DUIs, etc. Anything else would be very out of the ordinary. There aren't many places in NH that would qualify as "high crime" as you're used to hearing it.

I think Raymond is a pretty convenient location. Commutable to both the Seacoast or Manchester....

Yes, I am both! I agree a different part of NH/city would surely suit me better.
