Labor Day Activities
What are you fellow natives doing this weekend for Labor day? Maybe taking a ride out on the lake one last time to bid farewell to summer?
We are going to the Sanbornton Pow-Wow then Apple picking!
Here is a list for those who want to bake apple pies this weekend:
Where to find pick your own farms and orchards in New Hampshire for fruit, vegetables, pumpkins and Christmas trees.
And the Pow-wow information :
Powwow Schedules
If I don't see you out enjoying NH somewhere this weekend, be safe, have fun, and let's ring in Autumn in style, NH style!

Wow I cannot believe that we are in September and apple picking time is here. We just put out some pretty fall colored mums.
We have a BBQ this weekend, we will go hiking one day and also will head to the Lancaster fair for some very good tasting food that is bad for your health. We will also check out the goat competition at the fair-I love those goats-they are adorable doing their little obstacle courses! We will also make time to go and shoot at the range as it has been a few weeks. We have had the best weather this summer this week and it looks to continue into the long weekend.
Enjoy!

Yes! The weather should be gorgeous!
I hit the dollarTree in Gilford early this morning and got all my fall pretties and did up the house. We planted mums in 2007 and cut them down each season, and they continue to grow back! I just got greens on my mums out front so they should bloom in a few weeks. Amazing! For $1.25 discounted at lowes, I have three huge mum plants out front that keep coming back year after year.
I'll have to look up the lancaster fair, that sounds fun too!
I must have 14 apple cider and pumpkin candles lit, I love autumn up here. If you want to go green this season and need new sweaters or fall clothing, there is a lot in the thrift/resale/goodwill and salvation army stores to buy recycled clothing.
We bought more winter gear this past weekend there, and I maybe spent $25 on a whole new fall wardrobe. I lost 35lbs and my friend who helped me said this was the cheapest way to buy inbetween clothing when you continue to loose weight until your goal. It may be second hand, but it's new to me!
Everyone enjoy your labor day with lots of sunshine, big smiles, and even a cold brew, have a corona for me!

I can't believe it's Labor Day Weekend already! Where did the summer go? Weatherwise, this is my favorite time of year, we get to sleep with the windows open, the air feels so fresh and clean, and even on warm days like today, it's warm in the sun, but there is a chill in the air when you're in the shade. It's also time to start putting the garden to bed, so this weekend I'll be harvesting the seeds from my hollyhocks, and trimming back some of the perennials that have gone past, building a new raised bed area for veggies next summer (we got NO tomatoes or cukes this year...)
Peach picking is on my list--Mack's Apples in Londonderry has a U-Pick area that I can't wait to check out. There are still U-pick areas open for blueberries and raspberries. Blueberries freeze really well, so I'm hoping to get quite a few to keep us going through the winter.
Enjoy this fantastic weather, and have a great weekend everybody!!

Well I'll be working 72hrs through the weekend.....again. Too hot and smokey out here to enjoy any type of holiday mood. (107/smokey) Is the forecast.
Wish I were headed back for another NH fall week. Nice weather, beautiful colors, corn maze, apple picking, cool evenings, nice people...........you have it good!
