Question Cities/Towns to rent in w/in an hour of Manchester?

HI, My family is trying to find a rental house and we're trying to have a residential feel but close enough to a city where there are stores/fast food and other city life type stuff.

We have been looking mainly in Derry, Londonderry, and Litchfield, but recently expanded our search to Goffstown, Hooksett, Allenstown, Bedford, Merrimack, Hollis, and Amherst.

Nashua and Manchester would be great but we're moving with my elderly mother who grew up in a tiny small town and she won't live in a city that big and busy. ut we have family in Manchester so hoping we could be somewhat close.

Any other areas we should be considering here? I've been stalking craigslist and the MLS and have exhausted most of the "inventory" where we are looking, and looking for single family vs apartment is usually harder, but I don't want to miss any potential areas.

Thanks
Rae

You'll find Weare approximately 20 minutes from Manchester and Concord. What you won't find are Box stores and franchised Fast Food drive thrus except for Dunkin Donuts. But Weare has it's share of sandwiches and pizza shops with a few small restaurants thrown in.

There are a number of rentals but, just like everywhere else, know what your renting. Some are better than others. With rents going down you may also consider to negotiate the rent with a long term contract.

Best of luck in your search.......
