Question Cell phone service

Which cell phone companies are in Keene and its surrounding towns, and which do local residents prefer in terms of signal strength and coverage?

I would be interested in this information as well. I use Sprint currently, but I noticed almost all the coolest new phones are using either Cingular or Verizon as their venue.

Verizon and U.S. Cellular have the best coverage in that area. With a few others having descent coverage for Keene just not once you get out of Keene.

I've found the Verizon "Can you hear me" guy missed Keene. My Tracfone switches to US Cellular in the Keene area. It will stay on Verizon from Hillsborough County to the seacoast. I think Verizon is only targeting the big cities, where the real money can be made, leaving smaller communities the areas they aren't interested in.

I think it had been determined that Verizon had the best 'over all' coverage of the state. Well, I have about 1 1/2 years to go before my Sprint contract expires again so I'll check back on this then. I want to change over my cell service before we move.

I am wondering how Keene could be missed... Still, I may still be able to switch to Verizon by that time it will be 3 years from now.

I have no problems with Tmobile. Not sure about Keene, but I have had good luck in VT, NH, ME with my Tmobile. I'm usually the only guy with service when everyone else with me is saying "Darn!, I dont have service!"

I switched to T-Mobile and am more content. The operative word being "more". Not sure of Keene, but the seacoast is more suitable for that carrier than Verizon. By-in-large, Verizon has the best coverage, but not in eastern NH and Verizon takes the cake still for poor customer service and sleazy business practices. Regardless, unless you solely habitat the city limits of NH's biggest metros, owing a cell phone isn't a pleasuarable experience in the Grante state, nor Vermont.

From my personal dealings, Us Cellular and Unicell are the most popular in the Keene area.
Unicel has added towers to the West Swanzey, Winchester regions. It will display Unicel "Plus" on the screen of the phone.
Don't let the name trick you "Plus" only means it's in a new coverage area, not more services. You can't send text to landline on either US cellular or Unicel.
My roaming verizon cell phone does.
I use text messaging more than actual calling, and with the Verizon cell phone I can sign onto my yahoo messenger and Instant message via phone.
Neither Us Cellular or Unicel have this service.
As for coverage, all do pretty well in the Monadnock Region, it just depends what you want to have available to your use.
