There are monsters in world, they want to kill for the joy of killing. Get it through your heads people.
I could not agree more with you sghoskins! Evil does manifest even within the most righteous families. I truly believe some are even born evil and no matter how hard you try to rehabilitate them they will never change, as with some the evilness goes to the core. It lurks!

Evil is is a fact of life. You have good ones and bad ones. Usually left oriented people romanticize an evil persona as significant enough to pamper and pour billions of $$$ into protecting their rights and treating them humanly. However, this belief only serves to torment the Victims families who must endure countless years of sleepless nights waiting for justice.

These left wing kum ba ya liberals will spend billions of $$$ to make sure a child can be aborted on a whim but will never spend one $$ on the Justice that is due the victims family!!!! Where is the justice we as Americans used to have?

If I could write the law, I would have the victims family determine the kind of punishment these dirt bag scum deserve and, if they choose, have them participate in the execution which may for many help their lives get back to some normalsy!

Escapethecape is on a distinguished road
I have tought high school for ten plus years. I have seen the wonderful children that enter my class on a daily basis. One pair of students come to mind, a leader and the hapless follower. I contacted the parent of the leader and expressed my fears of some of the actions I had observed, mind you the father is a state police officer. I was told not my boy, he is perfect, he would never do anything wrong. Three years go by and he and the follower are arrested for shooting two unwanted dogs in a local conservation area. Sometimes even when people try to step, the parents/ quardians are in denial.

I pray for the girl and her dad. I hope the community can come to feel safe again.

This afternoon I registered for an LTC class to learn to protect my family.

Sorry for the rambling but I have a nasty cold, so the head isn't quite right, but I needed to add my person opinion and thoughts

Lets for one second take a look at the way that Ed Gein, had grown up and notice that both him, and this boy had quite a bit of similarities, and yet a few differences that I have yet to see pointed out.

I admit to not reading the interviews, or anything so this is based upon another members comment about being a home schooled, religious scout (I forget the correct words.)

1.) Ed Gein, had grown up with a mother, whom was very religious, reading the bible to both him, and his brother on a daily basis.

2.) Ed Gein, as well as this low-life "ringleader" seemed to have both lived sheltered lives, which is also not going to teach kids, exactly how to behave, love, and cherish friends, or even be "normal" in any society.

I do believe that I could keep on going with this if I were to sit down, and read into the links, posted on this topic, however I wish to leave this up to you.

The site of which I got this information from, was Ed Gein - Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The True Story

For those of you who have or are contemplating firearms I wanted to post links to 2 places local where you can receive training, both are local and I've heard good things about the training offered by both as well. One offers the full gamut of courses from simple to very advanced and is also a firearms manufacturer. The other is a local pay-range with some qualified instructors.

Sig Sauer Academy: SIG SAUER Academy - personal protection and firearms training in Epping, NH

Manchester Firing Line: Manchester Firing Line Range, LLC. in Manchester, NH

The Manchester Firing Line is also somewhere where you can rent various firearms to try them out (they have a public pay-by-the-hour-to-shoot range). The only caution here is that while they have barriers between shooters for safety, it is open to the public...

I'm sure there will be other suggestions as well

For ladies: I know Sig Sauer offers "women only" classes, and I've been told that Tom Brown at Manchester Firing Line is an excellent instructor for women as well.

Default I'm OK - You're OK

It just isn't true. There are alot of things that just are not OK, and it's about time there were consequences. Nobodys fault - BS! This 20 year crusade where everyone get's a trophy and there are no wrong answers is enough to make me puke, and just one huge factor in creating a fantasy world for our young people. Death Metal music is not OK, violent video games and movies are not OK, and I agree with others that they when experienced repeatedly, this can be a deadly form of brainwashing. People who get a charge out of the blood and guts of this material, just like porn, are going to look for that thrill over and over. Depressed and outcast teenagers...what's new? We all experienced some level of those feelings. It is part of growing up. I don't know about you, but I never considered weilding a machete to make myself feel better. Parents, get in touch with what your kids are doing and thinking.

I just have to add a thought or two regarding the music and video games etc. As I think it has been said before on this thread, music or vid. games do not create these monsters. I think that some of those types of music and games do attract a certain personality but you are painting with a broad brush. I grew up listening to a ton of metal music -from the beginnings of death metal or whatever you want to call it, through the 80's and 90's. I was so into this music that I hosted a metal radio show on my college radio station for 4 years which led to a career in the music business. Now, I have met thousands of metal fans and bands through out my life. Yes, some, occasionally were a bit off and that type of music def. attracts some aggressive folks but the vast majority of these fans were just alienated, disenfranchised kids. I would have to say 90% of them were from broken or dysfunctional homes. I was not. Why this music attracted me? Who knows, I guess I had allot of anger as a teen/young adult and this was a great way to release it. I met my husband by interviewing his death metal band on my station. Today, 17 years later, we are respectable, successful parents to two fabulous children and are very ethical and moral folks. I think as a parent you should def. find out what your child is interested in and talk to them about it. Be involved and try to support them and try to figure out why they are listening to this or that. I personally will want open discussions with my kids (they are young now) about song lyrics, what they enjoy about it etc and I'm very strict about video game content, there are ratings for a reason. Also, and aside 'jugaloos' refers to a fan of the band Insane Clown Posse, who have been around for years, about 10, I think. I did an event once with that band and hundreds of kids lined up to meet them. I have to say, it was a very sad and sorry group. If you looked up alienated/disenfranchised youths, this was the perfect example. I'm sure if you talked to those kids, you would see the same theme running through them - feeling isolated, broken/dysfunctional homes etc. Very sad actually and something to think about...
Also, I must add, I listen to all kinds of music, always have. We have literally thousands of records and CDs from Classical, blues jazz to death metal. I've worked with all kinds of music/artists in my career. The worst group I've ever dealt with?? Jimmy Buffet fans...absolutely THE WORST. A bunch of middle-aged drunken monsters...had to deal with the cops twice (one fan punched a cop!!). Welcome to Margaritaville.

Small wonder your words fell on deaf ears.
Don't you know the police are better than you !

Oh, I know there are some good cops out there but its folks like this and these guys which give the few "good" officers I've met a bad name.

Oh, and thank God we have paramilitary police units kicking in the doors of senior citizens selling flowers !

I feel so much safer now.
