my sole purpose is to ride my bike, enjoy quality tiime with my wife and enjoy the beautiful NH scenery. Act tough? No act. leave me alone ( people in general ) and we'll be fine. push against me and yes I will push back.
Annoy people? I annoy people by simply breathing.
I give cyclists a wider berth and though I could easily take out many of the pedaling yee haws and find a way to make it appear justifiable, it ain't what I am looking to do. See, no matter who you are or what group you belong in there are yee haws aplenty to go around within it, sweeping generalizations rarely work.

NH has more motorcycles per capita then any other state about 5.7 per 100 people.
NH has dozens of Law Enforcement based MC clubs. Yep many of us yee haws as we have been referred to are cops. Many more are veterans, you could probably say at least 1/2 of those leather clad ruffians you whine about are public servants. I guess you can feel a kinship with Garrison Keillor
Weasel Zippers: Garrison Keillor Rips Rolling Thunder for Their "Hollow Patriotism".....Seemingly Unaware They're Mostly Veterans....
The Laconia Rally is the oldest in the nation, part of the original Gypsy Tour. NH is deeply rooted in motorcycle history with Francestown being the birth place of the inventor of arguably the very first motorcycle.
Seriously, if you don't like motorcycles, don't like down to earth people who are ALWAYS giving to others through a multitude of charity rides, donations and just plain giving of themselves don't come to NH, because it is BIKER country.

Nope, that's knowing the people. I once made my old pastor mad ( to understand why you would have to know more about my background including the fact that I am an ordained deacon) when I stated that bikers in general show more of what is supposed to be real brotherly love then the average pew sitter.
I have yet to meet a group of people that are constantly giving despite their own needs.

I'm a big road cyclist and can tell you that 90% of the time a motorcycle passes me
|
I pass them all the time on the smaller side roads. Too many ride side by side. that leaves at best maybe five feet of roadway for me to pass. So am i coming withing a few feet of you? Damm right. Don't take up half the road and we might be fine. I'm not putting my safety and that of my passenger in jeopardy crossing into possible oncoming traffic because some want to chat while they ride. For the most part I have no problem passing with a decent space. In some cases, it's closer.
Try reading a paper. During the warmer months a weekend doesn't do by that there isn't a charity run for some organization. The major motorcycle organizations representing every major manufacturer, service organizations and dealers sponsor them. Now, what had the bicycle rider groups sponsored? Can't think of one. If you really need some documentation, I can start posting links but I won't bother.

Sure there has, also havebeen groups of Catholics, Mexicans, Muslims, Blacks, Gays, Straights....your point exactly? Biker is a generic term, Bikers as independents, or as clubs? I am an independent, not affiliated with any colors. I have friends who are otherwise, and even in those closely clustered groups you have diversity.
