Default Concrete floor question

Does anyone know of someone who does residential concrete floor polishing (mechanical, not topical)? I'm looking for someone in White Mts. area (NH or ME).

I suggest painting the floor with epoxy and polishing that. Concrete is not hard enough to maintain a shine.

While I don't know anyone who can polish concrete, I can say that the Home Depot in Nashua recently had it done and I had to ask an employee if it was waxed or varnished. She said the used a diamond polisher on the regular cement floor. It looked good.

There are sealants you can put on concrete to lock in dust and bring a shine to it. Call a local waterproofing company thats up there or call Kenseal out of boston, its a waterproofing products distributor. You can do it yourself with a paint roller on a poll, clear finish, may stink for a few hrs, but has low VOCs. Its like a Thompsons waterproofing for concrete. Or you can go with an epoxy clear coat but if it gets wet you fall on your bumm, plus it will crack where ever your concrete is cracked, wich case you have to caulk it with a polyurathene [ but that involves cutting/grinding the joints or cracks and sealing them with caulk after the coat is applied. Try to polish concrete after its set just burns it black.... Im a mason and waterproofer for over 20 yrs, so this is my expertise. advise is free so take it
