haha, thanks for telling me that. I thought it was only a MA thing. There are 9 Dunkin Donuts just in the city of Worcester, MA alone. In PA, they're lucky if they have one in every other town.

Hi! I lived in Colorado for 2 years and hated that it would entail a 2-day drive to get to a beach. I lived in Florida for 5 and every winter I'd sit in front of the tv watching the news and crying from home-sickness when I saw all the snow. I have arthritis in both knees and hips but much prefer pain to sweating. In Florida, with the ac on high and still being too hot, there's nothing left to take off when you're already naked! I'd rather shovel snow than sweat any day! And the food here in New England (yes, I made it home and I'm never going anywhere south of Nantucket ever again!) is much better! When I order fish & chips I want haddock, not some foul catfish! Yuck! The scenery is awesome, too. Way more colors than Colorado, and NH isn't flat enough to iron sheets on, like Florida. And the people are better educated than in Florida. (IMO). Up here we actually read for entertainment! And people seem friendlier here, too. I can't count how many people I met in Florida made a face and said, "Oh.You're a Yankee," as soon as I said hello. Like Yankee is a dirty word! I left Florida fully believing that southern hospitality is something reserved for other southerners and southern-fried is a neurological term. SO glad to be home where EVERYTHING, even snow - maybe even especially snow! - is better!

OMGosh, whats not to love! Fall is my absolute favorite, favorite season. I love the crisp air, the leaves, everything about it. I get a little bit miserable in the spring due to allergies, but thats okay.

As for winter, I'll take freezing wind chills and sideways snow anytime over almost year 'round heat, humidity and bugs. The warmer I am, the worse I feel. Cold is exhilerating, even with arthritis in my hands and knees.

Love having the seasons, the mountains, skiing, the beach, scenery....could do w/out the extreme cold for sure: if we had the pacific northwest's winters: no extreme windchills and more respectable temps without the Canadian arctic air, I'd be alot more content with winters here. Also, while I'm not a coffee drinker and won't judge either way, I'm quite sure New England would be just fine w/out Dunkin Donuts, or at least not dropped on every street corner in the six states.

Dunkin Donuts and MOUNTAINS!!

I moved to fl a year ago because i couldnt stand the cold/snow any longer, which i know i still wouldnt be able to handle even though i have contemplated moving back home.... but i miss the BEAUTIFUL scenery in NH and all of New England... and i'll drive 25 mins out of my way just to go to Dunkin Donuts down here... i took it for granted that there was a DD's on every corner!!

Its all so gorgeous.

If I ever win the lottery, I will buy a place up there and live there 6 months and here in Florida the other 6.

OR if global warming gets bad enough, maybe there won't always be snow in New England.

My right arm is fragile because it has a hole in it from a bone cyst...I can't risk falling and breaking it. I could never take the cold like I used to. The arthritic pain would kill me as well.
