My son got a job in NH - I live in southern Calif. and he's lived here all his life. He just got a job paying $7.75/hour. Guess that's not too shabby.

The governor signed a bill earlier this month, raising the minimum wage to $6.50 Sept 1, and to $7.25 Sept 1, 2008.

How is anyone supposed to live on $5.15 an hour? In Ontario Canada the minimum wage is $8 (around $7.31US) about an hour and that's not enough! Government isn't raising it fast enough to keep up with the rising cost of living... But it's good to atleast hear that they are raising it.

The minimum wage is for teenagers who live with their folks. You're not supposed to be able to live on it.
