I used to march in the Wilton Memorial day parade (as recently as 6 years ago) and the town is so small that the parade used to circle around and march down main street twice!

Wilton doesn't have a town square. Its main street just passes straight through. It was bypassed by 101 so it does not get the traffic it did years ago.

I went to the public schools in Wilton. Wonderful town love it! But The public schools are HORRIBLE. I think its because they have such great private school, like High Mowing and Pine Hill, if your willing to pay up to 12,000 a year.

Property taxes in Wilton have hit the stratosphere now. The rate is between $23.00-25.00 per $1,000 assessed value.

while the tax rate is high, the property values are low compared to other southern towns
