THE TREE STREETS are horrible! Its the only neighborhood in NAshua where minorities are the majority and the cops are not friendly...This area is KNOWN for being the BIRTHPLACE of GANGS in the state of NH...There is prostitution, drug-dealing, violence, and it is the GANG CAPITAL of NH...Gangs such as FOLK, LATIN KINGS, and DA FAM run this neighborhood...But F.O.L.K is always in the newspaper for robbin, stabbing, or jumping somebody...And even more recently drive-by SHOOTINGS...It is also home of the infamous "TRAILZ" A concrete path that runs parallel of West Hollis Street through da HEART of the neighborhood...People, smoke, drink, and whatever else there and Gangs mark there territory all throughout this path...Over this last year there have been a series of gang-related shootings...A few ehere houses have been shot up and even one instance where a guy was shot down in the middle of the street

FRENCH HILL is bad too but isnt always in the news like da tree steets is. There is a lot of drug dealing and gang activity in that neighborhood as well as RASICM...GAngs such as LDP, Bloods, and TRINITARIOS leave graffiti all over the neighborhood. The last few years Blacks and LAtinos (specifically Dominicans) have moved into this neighborhood. White people there hate it and you'll hear about da minority gangz fightin da white gangs such as FHO (French Hill Originals) because of this hatred.Things have died down in this neighborhood butit has a reputation for gang violence, drugs, racism, and more recently even a few drive-by-shootingz...The TRINITARIOS aka PATRIA live in this neighborhood...They carry machetes and gunz...Unlike folk they dont mess with no-one unless you disrespect them 1st so unless you gang-related u dont have to worry about them

My son has just recently graduated from high school in Nashua...The schools here are great...And its a GREAT city to live in...I recommend SOUTH NASHUA to any one tryna live in the city...But PLZ dont move downtown cuz it makes this great city look BAD.
Nashua is one of the tamest cities I have ever been around. And P.S. the crime rate is highest in South Nashua.

Does anyone have any comments about Little Florida in Nashua?

How safe is it back there?

Thanks.

There is a growing gang problem in the city. It's not terrible, but it's getting worse. Hundreds of people took to the streets several weeks ago in a street riot.

Default Its really bad

I agree Nashua NH is crime ridden. Matter of fact, just the other day, a miniority looked at me, I did not know what to do. Watch out for the gangs, riots and killings. I found this website ( w3.rustupid.com ) that listed Nashua as #1...What!!!! Here is the list.

1. Nashua
2. Chicago
3. New Orleans
4. East St Louis
5. Miami
6. Detriot
7. Los Angelos
and on.

I cannot believe Nashua was number #1. Be safe!

Also, here is another website for those who like to list minorities as the problem of anything. ( w3.racist.com)

Give me a break! Get a life!

I wasn't impressed either when we visited there. Even tho it has been named best town to raise a family numerous times I had the overwhelming urge to just leave. We stayed maybe an hour, probably didn't give it a fair chance but it was just a feeling. Maybe it felt too Mass for me

Come on man, I think you know exactly why 'minorities' have to do with something. In any large city in this country with a large amount of non-White Black or Hispanics there is a lot of crime.

The sad part is, this is all new to New Hampshire. I grew up here as a child and so did my parents and it was nothing like it is now. Places like Nashua, Manchester, etc are seeing rising crime rates entirely do to an influx of non-Whites to the area.

It's sad, and we can make excuses for it, but it's really only because of one reason.

We can all claim 'racism' but more than likely the people here saying "you are a racist, it's not their fault" probably don't even live in Nashua. All

All jbub did is put a list of majority Black, crime ridden cities, and put Nashua at the list. If you just put the crime rate for the streets that Nashua101 mentioned you would probably have a similar crime rate and demographics as those cities.

When "Nashua" was rated the #1 city in the US for raising a family, it included the surrounding towns, not just Nashua itself. So, it included Hollis, Amherst, Merrimack, and Hudson...

I think you missed what I was trying to say (which after reading what I said was very easy to do) What I meant was that we simply missed the cool part of town (we were only down around the mall- and thought that was it)...now that we live nearby and actually know where to go in Nashua- I like it. Some great restaurants, a good place to walk around on a nice day and have some lunch, some decent stores, etc... and all this talk about "crime" is more or less a joke compared to other places I've lived. Not saying there aren't crappy neighborhoods, there are...but it's important to keep things in perspective.
