Default Best town to buy cheap owner-occupied multi unit?

I would be the owner-occupant; need good renters, in an area with jobs. Manchester/Concord/Nashua/Claremont do not interest me. Portsmouth is too expensive; Somersworth might be an option. Is Somersworth like Dover/Rochester? If so that won't work.

Lakes and North Country are options; been looking at Littleton and Conway. Maybe Laconia?

Thanks for any and all input.

I've seen a few for sale in Conway with established renters. I'd check the local paper on Saturdays and Wednesdays (they have a real estate section on those days) or contact a local realtor.

You eliminated the towns with lots of rental units. Good luck.
