Romantic / Beautiful places you love
My fiancee and I have decided to elope sometime in the next couple of weeks. We live in Milford (southern NH) but love all of NH.
Would anyone be willing to contribute their ideas for gorgeous (even in April...) places to have an intimate ceremony? It will be just us and an officiant.
I picture us on the end of a dock over a lake somewhere; with a gazebo or pretty deck at the end. Or on the mountainside, or a beautiful meadow.
Any ideas from real natives? Special spots?
We'd love ideas for a town with a really special/intimate B&B or hotel to spend the night in. Thanks to all!

my favorite 'most beautiful spot in NH' would be around the Basin in Franconia Notch.
Or if you wanted a full daytrip, out on Star Island in the Isles of Shoals is a very tiny church (like 2-3 people tiny?) out on the rocks with the seagulls.

We were married in 2006 in Littleton - in the gazebo by the Ammonusuc River by a JP and we thought it was romantic We then went on a horse-drawn carriage ride at the Mt. Washington Hotel (that was a gift from a friend, have no idea what it costs) - we were given 2 champagne glasses and champagne to enjoy during our ride.....

How about "Cathedral in the Pines" in Rindge NH. It is outdoors and so very lovely. Near Mt. Monadnok (sp)? in southern NH.

My beautiful Bride and I honeymooned in NH 18 years ago, using the Woodstock Inn http://www.woodstockinnnh.com/ as our wonderful base camp.
I've been coming to NH since age 5.
Beauty in NH....where do you start?
The flume, The basin, Franconia Notch.
Pinkham Notch, Diana's Bath, Cathederal Ledge, the Presidentials....
The AMAZING views from Mt. Washington on a clear day....fog on a pond on a summer's morn.
It's what made us buy our home here.
Here's one of my favorite views.... Big Pea Porridge Pond
