A Shop Called East had something weird for all ages. They had an area, screened off be a bead curtain, where they had black lights on a wide array of posters.

I still can't get over going to Cherry Hill Mall and seeing a Nordstrom's and Capital Grill out front, my how times have changed. The one thing I miss though is the real food court. Cherry Hill probably had one of the biggest around and the new one just isn't as nice.

I've been to the one in Center City, just not the one in Cherry Hill. If you're a meat eater, you need to check out Fogo de Chau on Chestnut in Philly. It's a Brazillian steak house and it's all you can eat. There are just folks literally walking around with giant skewers of meat heaping it on your plate and the "salad" bar has just about every side known to man, but it's still an upscale place.
Also, if you are in the mood to drop some serious bucks you have to go to Barclay Prime in Rittenhouse Square. Probably one of the best steaks I have ever had and seeing Kobe beef flown in from Japan that morning as an option on the menu is a trip as well as the most expensive cheese steak ever.

I agree on the smaller foodcourt. Overall, I thought the CH Mall redevelopment was nice, but the foodcourt is smaller and de-emphasized.
I went to the Christiana Mall (Newark DE) recently, and I think the redevelopment at the mall, including its new food court is great. Maybe that mall has a slight edge over Cherry Hill now, as far as being the #2 mall in the DE Valley, after KOP. The new foodcourt there is quite spacious and has high ceilings.
Some destination stores like Lego are still missing from Cherry Hill, but have landed at Christiana. And Cherry Hill still has some long term unleased spaces, and spaces leased to stores like Kicks USA, usually found in lower rent strip malls.

And a couple more (thanks to some Facebook friends).
Victoria Station (was in a railcar, where the Audi dealer is now), Rusty Scupper (Rt 38, I think this is Olive Garden now) and Rib It (loved their Funion Loaf).

I just moved to Cherry Hill from NYC. Love it so far.
People at work were telling me about the Latin Casino.
I can empathize with fond memories of days past... but from my perspective, everything here is brand new and great. Young family starting off here and there are a lot of great things to do.
I grew up in North Jersey and growing up my town was suburban but with a rural feel. Lots of woods, etc. Now... every open space is gone... filled with condos, strip malls and banks. Oh well.....
