I am curious to know, why is there a lot of commercial real estate for sale in Medford, NJ. Is there a problem there? Is there no business? I have posted here before about a deli in Riverton and am not sure I can make a go of it there. What is going on in Medford?

Thanks for all the info, you guys are great...Brigid

I really don't know. However, just for the record, a lot of shopkeepers in Medford are babyboomers. I can remember when there wasn't much in downtown Medford. There are a lot more people living out there now.

I was just curious because there are a lot of retail buildings for sale and I would consider going there. I would like an investment property that I could also run a deli/cafe out of. Anyone else have any input.

Hopefully someone else knows something.

Someone who graduated from high school with me had bought a business quite a few years ago, in Medford, & did very well. That business was advertised in Cherry Hill. A few months before the economy crashed I saw an ad & it had changed hands. It's possible that several shop keepers have been holding on & now have decided to sell. Why? I wouldn't want to speculate.

It's not out of the question yet. I am just nervous that I wouldn't make the money to stay afloat. I am also a little confused as to what a condo building is. I own the store front but who owns the. Building as a whole. He also has the gym for sale and that concerns me. I like the idea of actually owning instead of renting and in Medford it is income property. Two pats upstairs and a deli on street level. All occupied so I wouldn't remove anyone. I am just on the fence. With everything going on in the world things are going to get rougher. They say we are not in a recession, but those fools on the hill are some of my customers and they don't live in our world. It is really amazing to stand back and watch. Very scary also

I am sure he got a big response on the deli and figured what the heck. I know in this market if someone is interested and they have the financials take it.
