I am in NY but might live in New Jersey. If I pass the ATAS and take all that is required to become a certified teacher's assistant, will it be valid in Jersey? If not what must one do to qualify in Jersey? Also, is the pay more or less in Jersey? And what if I live in Jersey but work as a Teacher's assistant in NY? Do I have to get certified for both states? Don't know where I would be getting a position, could be Jersey, could be NY. Thanks.
