After being on hold and searching the web all morning, I turn to you...
Wishing to buy a home in Deptford on a corner lot. Would like to extend the fence. Anyone know if there are any restrictions? I heard 8' from the curb? Is this true?

Thanks a bunch!

Well, I found a pdf version of Deptfords code book...

http://www.deptford-nj.org/filestora...on_12_6_10.pdf

Section 54 which begins on page 261 of the pdf starts the section on fences and walls. Section C deals with single family homes and all of the individual situations with a picture (page 265). It appears that on corner lots on residential streets, a 6' high fence can only be used in the box created by the house relative to the property. However, it looks like you can fence in the whole thing with a 3' fence, you need to see the diagram they have to get what I'm talking about.

You probably already found this page, but if you want to do any work, you need a permit and it would need to be approved by the town with plans, even to just put up a fence.
