Default Can anyone tell me about life and schools in Mullica Hill/Mickelton?

Hey guys...I was hoping to find out what people think of this area. We are finally getting close to a contract on my house for sale. We have been to this area..and I checked on the schools. I have heard they were pretty good..I went to the greatschools.net and they are ok there ..I checked out a jersey school site where Clearview High school got a "needs improvement"..but I can't figure out why..it seems the tests scores are very good to me.

Now that I am so close to actually purchasing a house , I am getting very nervous. It seems like a very nice area too me..Does anyone have any knowlege about the area and schools??

Thanks so much!!!

A lot of the high schools in that area are regional high schools. So Mullica Hill may have its own elementary schools but the highschool joins kids from several towns. As you probably know from visiting down there, not every town around there is as nice and trendy as Mullica Hill, so you could wind up with bad apples from other towns in your school.

These two towns, in addition to East Greenwich and Wenonah, are the crown jewels of Gloucester County. I believe Wenonah has the highest rated Elementary school in Gloucester County, in fact. You will be fine. When it comes to gauging the quality of life (schools, crime etc) vs housing costs, you can't do worse for your dollar between Boston and D.C., than this region. As Krusher said, there are some towns you might want to avoid, including Woodbury , and Paulsboro. Deptford and West Deptford I don't know as much about, but I think they are somewhere in between.

What other towns would filter in too the schools..The two high schools that i have looked up are Kingsway and Clearview..

would you consider the areas I listed as good place to raise a family? A Friendly area? It seems more small townish to me, so I am hoping the quality of life is good..I know it's expensive..nothing I can do about that aspect.
