Just came back from a ride through Mirror Lake and parts of Country Estates. Mirror Lake is huge! Sadly many homes in the area are vacant or not maintained. I was looking for an investment property or possibly moving into it myself so we can sell our big home in Toms River. As far as schools unless you have your kids enrolled in private schools most of the public schools in NJ are pretty much the same. Mirror Lake has so much potential. It could be a great place if enough people would take a gamble on it. I am still considering it. It's more like a vacation spot for summer people who enjoy fishing. What bothers me about the area is that you don't have to have money to be neat and clean. As far as making money on a home in that area right now I would have to say you would not benefit in this area. Maybe as rental but that's even a long shot so it seems. Country Lake is nicer but also slightly more pricey. I have no idea about your questions regarding exemptions you may want to talk with a realtor.
