If your looking for an acre I would go with Hillsborough. There is a whole lot more open space there.

In a way,but I think it has more traffic congestion.

If you are looking for something newer, you can get a 10 year old 4 bedroom/2.5 bath 3,200 square foot house with 2 car garage on a small lot in a development in that price range. If you are looking in town, you'll get a much older house (50-100+ years) that might need some work but should be in reasonably good shape in the 700K range. Obviously you can find some deals. The town was just reassessed so you'd want to find out what 08 taxes are projected to be. Many people that live outside of town center would admit to wanting to be in town center. It's a matter of finding the right property at the right price with the right amenities. Almost all homes in town center have detached garages or none at all. The farther west you go in town the more affordable it becomes.

Moorestown is always going to be expensive, you get what you pay for - desirability, blue ribbon schools, prestigious address, main street with lots of amenities, a great community center, a library, character, safe community, wealthy neighbors, etc.

You think Lenola is expensive now wait 10 years from now. The town is going to revitalize that part of town and bring in more commercial business to main street with higher-end condos, etc.

Moorestown Schools have their share of problems like everyone else.


To be honest, I've lived minutes from Main St Moorestown my entire life, and outside of the flower shop or the one pizza place, I have never had reason to go there.

And the flower shop laid off the one designer I liked. I go to Delran flowers now.

That's cool dude, whatever floats your boat. All schools have their issues. Like I said you get what you pay for. Haddonfield is the same way, except it is a smaller town with less open space and more urban feel. The biggest estate in the US was built in Moorestown within the last five years, clearly, it is a very desirable area.
