I used to board in Haddonfield and Lindenwold, Lindenwold's area had way more parking. However, obviously for Shannay in CH, she's going to want to board in Haddonfield or even more likely, the Woodcrest station, which I never used. I never had any problems going into CC: once you get off at the 8th or 16th Street station, everything is pretty straightforward.

Haddonfield has parking but I understand that it fills up. Woodcrest has a huge parking area. Several buses travel west from 8th and Market.

I have a question.
Does Philly have a "chinatown" like a lot of other cities in the US?

I lived in Moorestown when I was stationed at Marine Barracks, Philadelphia. It was a complex of then, (1974), nice high rises called "Kings Highway Towers". Luckily for me, the apartment management had a free commuter bus for residents that dropped us off at City Hall. If memory serves, we took Rt 38 to the Ben Franklin Bridge into Center City. Then I hopped the Broad Street Subway to Broad and Federal. Our work space was a beautiful Greek Revival on 300 South Broad Street.
Philadephia had an outstanding public transportation system. I'm sure you'll have no problem with all the improvements/expansions the others have listed for you.
Best of luck!

When my husband and I first got together-we lived in Kings Hwy Towers-this was the early 90's. It is actually in Maple Shade not Moorestown-although it is right on the line-not far from Haines Drive and the park-used to love running on that road. We moved out when it started to go downhill and they actually have a new name now-cannot remember what it is though.

OMG, too funny, such coincidences! I thought it was Moorestown because of it's proximity to the Moorestown Mall. Me and my wife grew up in East Orange, and we both remember what a significant thing it was when the Willowbrook Mall opened in 1970. (I think it was in Pine Brook on Rt 46). Prior to that, we took the 21 Main Street Bus in East Orange to shop at Bam's, or Kresge's in Newark. We also had Muir's Department Store on Main Street in East Orange and Korvette's in West Orange.
Anyhoo, she used to walk a good mile and a half or so with our four year old and newborn in a stroller to get to the Moorestown Mall; out of sheer boredom, I think. We didn't have much "mad money" on Corporal's pay, LOL!
I loved the painted brick interior walls that complex had, the built into the wall air conditioners were such a luxury compared to the East Orange flats we grew up in. Balconies! Our kitchen appliances all matched, but back then, they were all "copper colored". Brady Bunch decor at it's finest!
Ah, such a trip down memory lane.
