Try looking in Gloucester Township, and the Deptford area, you can hop to 42 North, take the Walt Whitman go through Philly and get to City Line Ave in about 42 minutes, the Walt Whitman is better than the Ben Franklin in the mornings. Not sure why you want to live in SJ and work all the way out on City Line though, why not look in the PA suburbs with your job out there?

Maple Shade to Bala Cynwyd in 23 minutes? Certainly not during rush hour. This afternoon I drove from Pennsauken near Haddonfield Rd and Route 38 to University City which is closer than Maple Shade to Bala Cynwyd and it took me 20 minutes, and that was in the middle of the day.
You might also want to look in Cherry Hill around the mall area, it would be quick to get over the bridge from there.

my husband commuted into Penn. hospital and we lived in Moorestown, NJ. It is a great town...very safe...but maybe on the pricey side. It won best place to live in Money magazine about three years ago. We bought a fixer-upper and sold it very easily in the end. It was definitely a great place to live.

I live in Northfield its about 45mins to Philly less then an hour with traffic. Depending where in Northfield your no further the 3miles to Xpress way and thats a straight shot to the Walt Witmen or Ben Frankilin. Its a small town feel with city like ammendies. Its hard to find rentals, but of course with times like they are people would rather lease then lose. I just picked up a 3bed 1bath house beautiful new kitchen and bathroom for $1,100 and saw one yesterday same set up for &1,000. If you have kids the activities are endless. Single? 5mins to AC and night life! Google Northfield,NJ 08225 even just Atlantic County you cant really miss except for a few exceptions like usual! All less then an hour to philly!

It's not going to be less than an hour at rush hour. I commuted to Collingswood for a month last year (forced to cover a vacation by my boss) and sometimes it took over half an hour just to go the length of 42, it can be a parking lot at rush hour. I tried to take 55 one time to avoid it, and the last 2 miles where you merge onto 42 took me almost 40 minutes! In summer, coming home on Friday nights is going to be nightmarish. I think Northfield is great too, but I wouldn't want to move that far down to commute to Philly.
